Introduction to Backend Development

Backend development focuses on everything that works behind a website or application. Users normally do not see the backend, but it is responsible for processing requests, storing information, checking user accounts, and sending data to the frontend.

The main parts of a backend system include:

1. Server
The server receives requests from users and returns the required information. For example, when a user logs in, the server checks their email and password.

2. Database
A database stores information such as users, articles, products, orders, and payments. Common databases include MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB.

3. Backend Programming Language
Backend developers use programming languages and frameworks to create application logic. Examples include PHP with Laravel, Java with Spring Boot, JavaScript with Node.js, Python with Django, and C# with ASP.NET.

4. API
An API connects the frontend to the backend. The frontend sends a request, and the backend processes it and returns data, usually in JSON format.

5. Authentication and Security
The backend manages login, registration, passwords, user roles, and permissions. It also protects the system from unauthorized access.
